Regards managers,
We have a DECnsr server running version 4.2B-12/10. The server is also
part of a ASE NFS cluster and I wonder whether the saveset completion
reports from DECnsr are correct. Here's an example:
'df -kt advfs /ase/filesystem' gives
domain#fileset 20000000 18686316 1313684 93%
/usr/var/opt/ASE130/ase/mnt/service/ase/filesystem
and the saveset completion report:
service: /usr/var/opt/ASE130/ase/mnt/service/ase/filesystem
level=full, 4175 MB 07:07:59 151216 files
As you can see, the report states that only 4GB have been backed up but
there's ~18.7GB in the fileset. I have problems believing that the TLZ87
compresses that well (~78% compression ratio). Is the report wrong or
(God forbid) isn't all the data being backed up (difficult to verify
with a 20GB fileset on a server serving several hundred users) ?
Bug ? Feature ?
