SUMMARY: Enhanced Security and NIS

     Hi,
     
     I had some problems with enhanced security under NIS. First, I forgot
     to add "auth=yp,local" to /etc/svc.conf. Hannu Visti saw that at once.
     If this entry is not present, the authenticating programs will not
     know how to get the information. The next problem was that for example
     login could not update the protected password database. It took me all
     the day to find out that NIS has to be restarted running
     /sbin/init.d/nis stop and /sbin/init.d/nis start. Now it seems to
     work.
