Adobe Acrobat Reader and Freeport Express

Hi All,

I'm trying to use Freeport Express to convert Adobe Acrobat Reader v2.1
for SunOS 4.1.n (as available from
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobatreader/unix/2.x/)
into a version that'll run on DU v4.0.

I've copied the kit across and run the binary and libraries through fpx
to produce translated versions but when I try to run it I get the following:

Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C
Warning: X locale modifiers not supported, using default
Fatal System Error: Raise at top of Exception Stack
Abort

By setting the environment variable FPXR_TRACE_SYSCALLS to "open, stat" I've
now got it to produce a string of error messages which repeat about 10 times
before it crashes out:

<snip>
syscall(fpxr): PID 3629, time 15:31:09.710739,
  open(0x7df0cab8='/user/unibat/Build/Root/X11R5/sparcsun/lib/X11/nls/nls.dir', 0, 0x7df0be3c) from 0x308
fpxr: open() returns error status 0x2 (No such file or directory) at 15:31:09.713669
syscall(fpxr): PID 3629, time 15:31:09.714645,
  open(0x7df0cab8='/user/unibat/Build/Root/X11R5/sparcsun/lib/X11/nls/nls.alias', 0, 0x7df0be3c) from 0x8
fpxr: open() returns error status 0x2 (No such file or directory) at 15:31:09.715622
Fatal System Error: Raise at top of Exception Stack
Abort

so it seems to be looking for some nls language information. In DU there's
the /usr/lib/nls directory but there's no nls/nls.dir or nls/nls.alias that
I can see. I'm lost as to what all this stuff actually is and how to get
around the problem. Anybody out there got any suggestions ?

Thanks,

 John.
