We currently have a Digital AlphaServer 2000 4/233 running Digital Unix
3.2c and a number of AlphaStations of various models running Digital
Unix 4.0. The server is acting as the NIS master server and one of the
workstations is acting as a NIS slave server, and the rest are NIS
clients. We have also implemented C2 Enhanced Security to work with NIS
on all the machines.
We have a SUN Ultra Enterprise 3000 and we wish to integrate this
machine into the existing Digital environment.

I tried making the SUN UE3000 (the SUN machine does not have C2
installed) as a NIS client and I could see all the NIS maps that was
served by the Digital server. However when I try to login in to the SUN
UE3000 using an account that exist is the NIS, it always returns
incorrect password. I can use all the other NIS maps with no problem
such the hosts file to access the workstations using the symbolic name
instead of IP address.

As anyone managed to setup such an environment. Any response will be
much appreciated. Thank you.
