Had tried this too... but we're getting warmer... :-)

Important hint on the boolean variables in printcap, IMHO...
the man page isn't very specific...

Give that man a cigar! That was it... also solved a problem
i was having with another jetdirect card. the knew there was
something in the card but I was using hpadmin up until i telneted
to it. The pointer to the archive should be heeded to, there's
a good rundown on possible problems this may create.
