Thanks to all who replied.
The method of reseting the VXT2000 to the factory defaults is
as followd
1. get the machine to the boot state ie. >>> on the screen
do this by pressing the halt button on the back just
under the network interface connectors. If the machine
has been set to autoboot mode, then disconnect the
network and it will fail the network test and drop into
the boot mode.
2. at the >>> prompt type
T/UTIL 1
This will reset to the factory defaults( it does work)
3. reboot the machine with
B/10000
( if you disconnected the network in step 1 reconnect
before booting).
The /10000 clears the stored boot record sequence as
that it will try all boots methods. Don't
know of the T/UTIL 1 does this as well as I did not
try the standard boot first.)
