A long time ago :-) I wrote

:over to NT in a big way, this is a major concern. Has anyone come across this
:before and knows of a patch, either for Maestro or DU?
Various people suggested using Samba rather than Maestro, and I will be
investigating this. However I was able to track down the problem to the
rpc.lockd program on 3.2. I was able to get Maestro to work fine with a machine
running 3.2c and so I ended up just copying the rpc.lockd from the 3.2c machine
onto the 3.2 machine and it solved the problem.
