I have a 3.2C system that was setup up by a previous employee. When they
initially setup the external disks that are located in a storageworks
cabinet with LSM, they defined each disk as a "simple" disk. We have since
purchased additional disks to mirror some of the critical partitions.
Specifically, I would like to mirror the existing rz10c drive with the new
rz12c drive. I have tried several different variants on the LSM commands
to get the /dev/rrz12c drive setup in LSM so that it is the same as the
original /dev/rrz10c drive but I can't seem to get it.
Here is the disk information from the volprint command:

All I really want to do is make rz12c a "simple" disk just like rz10c.
Everytime I try the voldiskadd command, when the disk is initialized, I get
the following errors (from "voldiskadd rz12c"):
Initialize a disk
Menu: LogicalStorageManager/Disk/AddDisk
Initialization of disk device rz12c failed.
Error: Error: New partition layout for partition q (start -1 end -3)
overlap.
New partition layout for partition (start -1 end -3) overlaps with other
parti.
Goodbye.
The only thing I do to the disk before the voldiskadd command is disklabel.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I need to do to get the rz12 disk setup
in LSM as a simple disk?
