> TLZ09

The Answer:

TLZ04 uses 60M 4mm DAT cartridges whose capacity is 1.3GB. It cannot use
90M nor 120M cartridges, nor can it read 60M tapes written by TLZ06 or
TLZ07/09 drives IF HARDWARE COMPRESSION WAS USED TO WRITE THE TAPE.

TLZ06 uses 90M 4mm DAT cartridges whose capacity is 2.0GB (w/o
compression). It cannot use 120M cartridges.

TLZ07/09 uses 120M 4mm DDS-2 DAT cartridges whose capacity is 4.0GB (w/o
compression).

The TLZ06 and TLZ07 drives do provide hardware compression to
approximately double the tape's capacity.
