Q: How to read from tty00

Hi,

I'm trying to connect a pretty old digitizer with a AlphaStation 600
through serial port (DB9). I've check the cable and all switches
required to communicate (9600:8bits:1stop:parity none). But when testing
from "cat < /dev/tty00" and clicking the digitizer buttons I can see
some garbage sometimes and when testing from software (ARC/INFO) it says
that there is some problem with communication between digitizer and the
host. I used "stty -af /dev/tty00" to show the port settings and I can
change some settings with "stty -f /dev/tty00" like parity, for example.

Does anyone did something like that before?

I appreciate any help.

TIA

Wander
