We have bought two HD Seagate Barracuda 9GB (ST19171W) to put
into a storage bay BA35X (Wide SCSI) connected to an
Alphaserver 4000 5/40 running DU 4.0b.

We are quite confident about the success of the operation, but
we'd like to know if somebody had trouble doing the same thing
...

We had no problem. The disks are running fine.

I received 4 answers, the first saying that some data corruption
could occur, due to a firmware problem (seen on a VMS machine), the
3 other answers beeing a warning about the heat in some storage
bays.

Despite those warnings, we tried and it was a success.

Thanks to Paul Kitwin, Alan B. Scott, C.J. Bol and Lee Hughes
