getting enhanced printer burst page?

I'd like to replace the current 'ASCII' burst page with a fancy
postscript version. How do I achieve this please?

(What has been a personal printer is now going to be a network printer)

I guess I have to make some script/program accessable from /etc/printcap
as a filter. I played about with trying to create my own filter
(prepending my own postscript file to the main print file) but this
was not successful, and kept locking up lpd. (Also I was not sure how I
could pick up essential data for the burst page such as logname etc.)

I've seen plenty of queries in the archives about turning off burst
pages, but not to enhance them.

(BTW osf3.2 and HP laserjet 5MP)

Thanks,

Bob
