GNU Pascal 2.0

Does anyone have any hints on how to get GNU pascal 2.0 to actually
compile on a 500 running 4.0c? It keeps dying on the linker no matter
what compiler I use. Note, the sources are gcc 2.7.2.2 patched to
include fortran.
