Alpha to act as X-terminal using xdmcp

Hello Managers:

I have mastered the use of our DECstations running Ultrix as X-terminals by
changing the command at the bottom of /etc/ttys. Particularly adding
arguments to Xws.

I have tried to do the same thing with some of our older Alphas running
OSF/1, without success. All the manual pages seem to dwell on how to
use xdm to make the machine an X-windows server. I want it to act as
an X-windows client.

I have tried changing the line in the /usr/lib/X11/xdm/Xservers file
but have not got it right so far.

Can someone tell me how to get an Alpha running OSF/1 or Digital Unix
to act as an X-terminal using xdmcp.
