I'm a Unix rookie (scary part: I'm also the Sys Admin) and just started
writing Korn shell and C-shell scripts. I'd like to set some environment
variables in a script which will be called ('source' in C-shell, '.' in
Korn) from another script. The problem is that I would prefer to have all
the definitions in a single file so that if something changes I don't need
to remember to change it in multiple files. With the syntax for checking
the value of a variable being different in the 2 shells, how do I determine
which shell I'm running under, without creating an error message.
TIA
