Hello all,
I am currently running version 4.0A of UNIX and Tru-Cluster (formerly DECsafe)
version 1.4. The problem that I'm having is adding multiple network interfaces
to Tru-Cluster. I need to configure eight (tu0-tu7). I am unable to exceed
six successfully. I can indeed add the eight but when I exit and save the
database, ASE hangs and is impossible to restart. I have a good amount of
DECsafe/Tru-Cluster experience and have verified that all necessary configuration
requirements (e.g. interface config, entry in hosts file, etc.) are correct.
The TCR documention never specifically indicates an NIC limit. DEC support has
not been helpful and suggests that the number of NICs allowed is "theoretically
unlimited".
Has anyone been through this before?
The messages that appear in the daemon.log are these:
