Modem Configuration

Hi gurus,
I had configured a modem in a AxP Station 500, a AxP 2100 with DU 3.2g ,
and it was ok. Actually I'm configuring a modem in a AxP 4100 box, and I
notice it has 2 COM ports and 1 modem port. I have a line for tty01 in
/etc/inittab.
When I do a "ps -e|grep tty01" I saw the line up. I create an entry in
/etc/remote call tip9600. I use the command tip, and I can use the "at"
command, and can configure my modem. The problem is that I can not get
the LOGIN from unix, it stays like "sleeping" and I don't know why!!!!!
What I'm missing to get the login from Unix?
I saw 2 variables in P00>>> about com1_modem and com2_modem or something
like that, it has an "off" value, I put "on" on this variable, since
that moment I can use the "at" command. Maybe there is a special
variable in AxP 4100????
Hope you can give me some ideas.
Thanks in advance.
