I'm just trying to rebuild xpaint 2.4.7 to include tiff
capabilities on a Digital Unix 4.0b system, using tiffv3.4beta036.
Building tiff wasn't a problem but when rebuilding xpaint I get:

I think that this is coming from /usr/local/lib/libtiff.a.
Can anyone help?
