Sony DAT supported?

Hello!

Does anybody have experience with Sony's DAT drives?
Do they work with Digital Unix?
If yes, are there any necessary kernel changes? Are they described
in the installation manual?
We are especially interested in the DDS-2 models (SDT-5000, 5200 and
7000).
