I try to make a TLZ07-VA (narrow scsi) dat-tape station coexist with a
DS-RZ1CB-VW (4,3GB diskdrive - Wide scsi ) in a BA364 enclosure (StorageWorks
cabinet with 4+1 SCSI slot)
The disk works well as long as the tape station are not plugged in, but upon
introducing the tape station the diskdrive is no longer found. The tape however
works beautifully.
The disk works together with narrow-scsi disks, and narrow-scsi disks works
together with the tapestation in the cabinet ... but the tapestation and the
wide scsi disk combo does not work.
I spoke with Digital support, and he mumbled something about firmware upgrade
for the TLZ07 -- and that I should check the www.storage.digital.com to see if
I found anything there, which I didnt.
So the question is : is it at all possible to use this tapestation and the
diskdrive together in the BA364 enclosure ? In that case, how ?
