ip and hostname

I wanno change my hostname and ip of my machine.What exact procedure I
should follow and one more thing i.e the text in BOOK READER is quite
closed is it possible to make it visible and readable any resizing of its
font option is there??
Uptill know I have gained alot from this mailing list(excellent)
comprising of excellent members.
