setting the network adapter mode on a multia

Managers,
        One quick question. How do you set the built in network interface of
the multia so that it does NOT go into autosensing mode when the machine
is switched on or initialised? I need the adapter to stay in
"Twisted-Pair" mode whenthe multia is switched on.
