We are running a few DEC Alpha systems as multiple purpose machines here,
but mostly for the University community here at Temple University. These
machines are currently running in a non-clustered environment, but will
hopefully be clustered soon. They're all running Digital Unix 4.0b at the
moment. In total, we're hosting 20,000 accounts with that number expected
to double over the next year.
Does anyone know of any software package which will let us do software
package accounting? We want to see who is using which package (e.g., SAS,
SPSS, Pine) on all of our DEC Alpha systems, especially our 8200. I looked
at the Digital Unix Web site, but I didn't see anything that looks like it
offers this kind of functionality. If anyone can recommand software for
package accounting in this environment, please let me know.
