AdvFS and verify

        On a DEC 3000/700 running DU3.2B with the DUV40BAS00004-19970609
patches installed I had a couple of mangled files in an AdvFS, just
directory entries without anything else, that I had to repair using
/sbin/advfs/verify -f When I ran it against the domain in question, verify
reported around 19000 lost files which it then linked to lost+found
entries. Is it normal to have so many lost files? As far as I know verify
has never been run on the domain before. We did have a number of crashes 2
months ago that were traced to a flaky KZTSA SCSI controller which these
drives are connected to. Any suggestions?
        Thanks Anton
