Hello All,

I have a 4mm DAT tape drive in a AXP 150. (now that you've stopped laughing)
It's running DU 4.0b and can access the tape device using mt. I already
did MAKEDEV and have the correct tape devices (rmt0h, etc.).
I tried /usr/field/tapex -r and got this:
Testing tape device /dev/rmt0h (interface SCSI, controller #0, TLZ07)

Write and read data records test.

This will write records of size 512 bytes to 15360 bytes.
200 records of each size will be written and verified
The record increment value is 512 bytes.
A total of 47616000 bytes will be written and verified
MTIOCTOP failed, op = 0, count = 2
Failed MTIOCTOP command is MTWEOF

Tests interrupted.

Write and read test results summary

RECORD READ WRITE VALIDATE
SIZE ERRORS ERRORS ERRORS
512 1 0 0
Total number of flawed record sizes is 1

------
Any attempt to write to or read from a tape also fails.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
