Failure to remove volume from AdvFS domain

Hi -

I have just attempted to remove a volume from an AdvFS domain, using
the dtadvfs tool, only for it to report a failure E_BMT_NOT_EMPTY
(-1175). The system had just had DU v4.0B installed, replacing OSF/1
v2.1 (as a fresh installation, rather than going through the upgrade
path). On starting the AdvFS after the upgrade, there was a message
about a version change from 2 to 3, I think (unfortunately I didn't
note the text of that message).

Can anyone shed any light on this (or provide a solution, short of
reconstituting the entire domain from scratch via backup/restore)?

Richard
