Hello!
I'm trying to use iostat to check activity on a raid array on my
Alphaserver1000 3.2D. The man page indicates that only the first four
drives data are reported, and to indicate any other drive, you should
specify that drive on the command line.
Running "iostat" reports:
      tty rz0 rz5 fd0 re0 cpu
tin tout bps tps bps tps bps tps bps tps us ni sy id
   0 21 7 1 0 0 0 0 116 7 3 0 8 88
The "drive" I need is re1, but I can't seem to find the magic syntax to
get iostat to report on this array. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I've tried:
iostat re1
iostat /dev/re1
and a few others with no success.
thanks-
David
