System utilisation logging

sar is actually available on Dec Unix, but only if you install the Sys V
subset, which is not an option as it would blow away the BSD
compatibility.

load monitoring can be achieved by use of
iostat
vmstat
uptime
top
nfsstat
netstat
dk -k
pass all these thru a perl or awk / sed script to generate the relevant
stats

I also have a tool which can capture a system config into an html
document,
their is also a PD utility called monitor, there is a DEC rebuilt
version of this. I will get you the URL

Let me know if you want these.

I agree pmgr sucks, I have seen quit a bit of mail on the mailing list
asking how this can be used, but very little feedback unfortunately.
