Logging a telnet session (can this be done)?

Hi all. Quick question that has probably been answered a million times:
Is there a way a client can log an entire telnet session to file. The
reason I would like to do this is that I want to run an expect script that
logs into a machine, gets some info from the machine, and then logs out.
I then need to parse the session for specific info I need. The easiest
way to do this seems to be capture the session and then parse it out from
the file it was saved to. If anyone can help me with this, it would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
