First, excuses for this late summary

My original request was asking for some help for undestanding what was
causing panics reported as error events type 198 Astro controller in the
uerf format
The installation of StorageWorks RAID Array 200 Online Management Utility
showed "The hard disk at channel x target y had n soft errors" n . This
error reached up to 127. At the same time the the disk monitoring with
iostat command had periods with no activity in the same array.
The disk at channel x target y was replaced and the panics stopped.
Thanks to everyone who replied:
Stephen Cooper for his suggestion about install DECevent and dia utility
.Finally I downloaded and installed it and the uerf reports became more
"human readable"
Dr.Thomas P.Blinn for his contribution clarifying the name ASTRO as PCI
Raid controller and also for show me how to navigate through the /usr/adm
crash logs and msgs
Alan Rollow for his explanation about the name of the controller and for
his Monitor ( I found its reference in David K. Magee Summary iostat) and
for his best guess "you had and I/O error on one of the disks of that
controller" :-)
Richard Renshaw for his explanation of similar errors logged when he had
fails on his KZPSC 3 ch raid controllers

Thanks again

Ada
