Statistics Freeware?

Seems simple, but poking about has not produced an answer yet, so I'll
ask the gang.

I need a library call to do a least squares linear fit of some data points,
preferrably a C routine. Can anyone point me at such a thing in a freeware
version, perhaps? Or is it somewhere in the standard C libraries that
come with DU, and I just managed to miss it somehow?
