Hi, dear Managers!

Im having some troubles about my Sendmail for DU 4.0b running on a
2100 Alphaserver.
Actually, my system was not receiving any mail, but it could send
them. I guess it was about permissions because the returned mails to other
systema marked up "/var/spool/mail/USER :- permission denied", so I
checked the correct permissions 1777 /var/spool/mail and each mailbox
with 600, belonging to mail group, as it says in DU manuals. The
permissions were correct and I still having no mails. The way I fixed it
is that I changed the mailbox permissions to 660 and I added the daemon
user to the group mail, so I guess it can write in the mailboxes, but
I think this is not right. Anyway, now Im receiving mails, but mails
between users on the server cannot be sent.

Whats wrong with my permissions? Because the directories and
mailboxes are ok, but what about the daemon user? Its not supposed to be
in the mail group, right?

TIA for your help, Im very dissapointed about this. =(
