How to return to x-windows

Hi everyone,

Currently running unix 3.2d-2 on an Alpha 2100A. The system console
normally runs in x-windows. Last night when logged into, it went to a
blue screen instead of x-windows. Can anyone tell me how to get back to
the x-windows session?

Any help greatly appreciated.
