We use a clone fileset in ourr backup. I've noticed there have been a
few messages about the use of this - I was wondering if anyone could
give a quick summary of what a clone fileset actually is & does. -- or
point me to where I could find out.
I thought that it was basically a snapshot copy of the fileset taken
while users were off line that would then allow users back on-line to
continue working while the backup of the cloneset proceeded. Someone
here with more knowledge than me thought that it was kinda like pointers
to files that kept track of file changes & processed them as part of the
backup (which sounded screwy to me).
Any help appreciated (I'll post a summary in a few days)
cheers people
Dave
