Hi,

I've been trying to install DU3.2d on an Alphaserver 400 4/233, but no matter
which option I choose (basic and advanced) and no matter which disk I
select for the root disk, I recieve the following panic:

trap: invlaid memory read access from kernel mode

faulting virtual address: 0x0002b11800000028
pc of faulting instruction: 0xffffffff800f3d08
ra contents at time of fault: 0xfffffc0000408538
sp contents at time of fault: 0xffffffff818ab3f0

panic (cpu 0): kernel memory fault
syncing disks...done

DUMP: problem with the specified dumpdev 0x10001, status 19, not used
DUMP: No primary swap, no explicit dumpdev
Nowhere to put header, giving up

Has anyone else run into this problem? I've looked through the achives, but
I haven't found any thing which has a resolution. I've previously installed
DU4.0c on this machine and it works fine, so I know that the machine doesn't
have a hardware problem.

My machine's specs are as follows:
Alphaserver 400 4/233
Processor: 21064A-6 233Mhz 512Kb cache
32Mb ram
Firmware
SRM V6.2-2
ARC 4.49
PALcode: VMS PALcode V5.56-2, OSF PALcode X1.46-2
Serial ROM V4.6
Diag ROM V1.7

Any information in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
-Scott
