UPDATE to SUMM: Cannot login as root from X workstation

I received a lot of mail (after my summary) telling me that indeed, if you
put the IP address of your display followed by :0 in /etc/securettys, you
are supposed to be able to log in as root remotely.

For some obscure reason, it seems to work for everybody except me.
