Hi all,

We try to upgrade our alpha 400 server to du3.2g from 3.2d-1. This server
run PPP-2.2 from the public domain. All the subset of the upgrade are
mandatory, when I make the kernel I have duplicate symbol error from the
file if_ppp.c.

PPP is now supported with the 3.2g version. I retire all entry from the
file "/sys/conf/files" for the public domain ppp files. I can build the
kernel, but ppp dont't works.

I try to install ppp with the procedure from the Network Supplement
documentation.

The procedure...

1.2.2 Verifying PPP Support in the Kernel

To verify that PPP is supported in the kernel, enter the following command:

sysconfig -s | grep ppp

If it is not loaded and configured, do the following:
(In my case PPP is not loaded)

1 - Log in as root.
2 - Save the /vmunix ...
3 - Rebuild the kernel by running the doconfig program and selecting the
Point-to-Point (PPP) option.

The problem:
************
There is no Point-to-Point (PPP) option.

Where I can find that option?

Any help, guidelines, etc... to pinpoint the exact problem would be greatly
appreciated.
