     People,

I would like to thank everyone who responded to my query about getting
about 72 gigabytes of filesystems into a single 10/20 Gigabyte tape
drive. I will make the following comments to address everyone's
     questions and concerns.

I want to especially thank those who actually responded to my question
about others seeing this level of data being put into a single tape.
The answer was that many of you have seen this so it should not be a
     major concern.

First of all, it was a tz88 with a Compact III tape and I suspected it
was the efficiency of the compression on the Oracle files. I mistyped
the type of drive. I am sorry.

The general concessus of the many good people who responded is that
the Oracle files are prime candidates for efficient compression. I
agree and applaud the fact for once, a piece of equipment outperforms
     the expectations.

     With sincere thanks, Keith

Now, if I could only get my Linux box to let root rsh into it, I would
     be a happy camper.
