Q: sending syslog to other host

Hi OSF managers !

I'm trying to send the syslog for facility mail from one host running 3.2D-1 to
another host running 3.2D-1.
What I did is changing one line in /etc/syslog.conf on the source host.
 original line : mail.debug /var/adm/syslog.dated/mail.log
 changed line : mail.debug _at_loghost

What happened is that the messages reached host loghost but there syslogd could
not identify them as logs from mail. So the messages were sent to all users and
to /var/adm/messages.
After some trying I found one host from where I could do it right, but I see no
difference to the other hosts. But now I can see in the debugging output from
syslogd that the field "pri" in the message is 0 for the wrong messages and is
26 for the right messages.

Does anyone have an explanation and/or a solution ?
