external harddisk drive for alpha 255/233

Hi everybody:

I would like to get an additional external hard drive for my 255/233
alphastation. Currently I have two bays available in the Storage Works
box. Since there are compatibility issues to worry about (unless one
buys directly from DEC) I wonder if anyone would care to make any
recommendations in re to brand/vendor.
