SUMMARY: crash during boot and ARC -> SRM

        Color me confused. The crash is not consistant, although
        I still get the "unsupported" warning. After a few tries
        I actually got to the install GUI. We'll see how it goes
        from here...
        
        On console switching, it turns out this is a "half-flash"
        system which requires a firmware (re)load to switch
        consoles...
