My original message:
I have d/l the 00005 patch kit for DU4.0b and did the preinstallation
check, but it will not install many of the subsets because the 229
Security Patch kit cannot be installed because I have installed bind-8.1.1
and it doesn't know how to deal with these files:
/usr/bin/nslookup
/usr/include/arpa/nameser.h
/usr/include/netdb.h
/usr/include/resolv.h
/usr/sbin/named
/usr/sbin/named-xfer
Is there an easy way to get these files installed again so I can do this
update? Ideally, I would like to extract just these files from the
intallation CD. Any thoughts?

Thanks to:
Robert L. McMillin
Knut Hellebų
who both suggested looking in the /usr/.smdb. directory to find out which
packages were needed by the software and then either extracting the
specific file I needed or installing the software again to a different
directory.
However, when I mounted the DU4.0b CDROM all the files I needed were on
the CD in the proper places, so I just copied the files from the CD to a
temp directory and will move them when I am ready to try the update again.
