We changed our bay router using rip version 1 to rip version 2 yesterday.
All our VAX and
Windows 95 systems worked normally, but the 3 Alpha DU 4.0b systems could
no longer talk to the VAX print queues and xyplex terminal servers using
IP.
We are running routed with the -q option. I read in the archive that
someone
had a problem with rip and replaced routed with a static default route. Is
this what I need to
do to get the DU boxes to communicate in a rip2 environment?
We also have a problem with Windows 95 DHCP clients not being able to ping
or telnet
to the DU boxes. If we configure them with hard addresses on the same
subnet they work
fine.
