hallo, Dear Gurus,

I want to update my system from DU 3.2C to 4.0 (and then to 4.0b).
The update procedure told me, that my root partition is to small (64 MB)
So I copied root from rz0a to a secondary disc rz1a and boot from this one.
My idea now was to deactivate the swap space (128 MB) on rz0a and make with a part
this and the old root partition a new one with 96 MB.
So I edited fstab : changed swap1 to rz1b and deleted swap2.

but after reboot swapon -s shows me only rz0b.
so my question :

itsī possible to deactivate this swap1?
do I have to make some changes in the config-file of the system ?

Any other Idea to change the size of the root-partition of a living system?

thanks for your help
