Dear Managers,
First I would like to thank all who responded to my post, especially
the following, for their suggestions.

        Robert L. McMillin <rlm_at_syseca-us.com>
        Sean O'Connell <sean_at_stat.Duke.EDU>
        Jesse Anderson <jesse_at_nesc.org>
        Gyula Szokoly <szgyula_at_tarkus.pha.jhu.edu>
        PAUKIT_at_HBSI.COM
        Jon Reeves <reeves_at_zk3.dec.com>
        J. Barnwell barnwell_at_jbsvax.eksystems.com
        Peter Stern <peter_at_wiscpa.weizmann.ac.il>
        Lucio Chiappetti <lucio_at_ifctr.mi.cnr.it>
        John Welsh <John.W_at_integrand.com.au>

We considered all the suggestions based on how easy it would be to
implement what was needed and how easy it would be to obtain the
equipment required to implement the suggested solution. We think that
the solution proposed by Jon Reeves <reeves_at_zk3.dec.com> is the one that
should prove easiest to implement. That is the one we will check out.

Here is the full text of Jon's reply.
