Hallo again,
in between I upgraded my System to DU4.0 after I've changed the size for
secondary swapspace.
All theems fine but at the end of the update he told me something about
overlapping partitions /dev/rz1d und /dev/rz1b (my secondary swap).
/dev/rz1d is o.k. (/usr/users my users database Huhhh)
/dev/rz1b not activated.
Here the output from disklabel before changing :
8 partitions:
# size offset fstype [fsize bsize cpg]
a: 131072 0 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 0 -
84*)
b: 524288 131072 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 84*-
420*)
c: 4193280 0 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 0 -
2691*)
d: 3537920 655360 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 420*-
2691*)
e: 0 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - -1)
f: 0 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - -1)
g: 0 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - -1)
h: 0 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - -1)
#
and afterwards :
8 partitions:
# size offset fstype [fsize bsize cpg]
a: 196608 0 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 0 -
126*)
b: 458752 196608 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 126*-
420*)
c: 4193280 0 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 0 -
2691*)
d: 3537920 655360 4.2BSD 1024 8192 16 # (Cyl. 420*-
2691*)
e: 0 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - -1)
f: 0 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - -1)
g: 0 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - -1)
h: 0 0 unused 0 0 # (Cyl. 0 - -1)
#
the disk is : SGT32550
I tried to change the fstype for b but there's only an error output :
# disklabel -s rz1b swap
Specified partition /dev/rrz1b is marked in use.
Also partition(s) which overlap /dev/rrz1b are marked in use.
Use -F option to force an override.
also with "e"
# disklabel -e rz1
(change filetype for rz1b from 4.2BSD to swap)
write new label? [y]: y
partition 'a' overlaps with partition 'c' which has an in-use fstype
partition 'b' overlaps with partition 'c' which has an in-use fstype
partition 'c' overlaps with partition 'd' which has an in-use fstype
re-edit the label? [y]: y
these are the active partitions :
the same thing with disklabel -e :
# df
Filesystem 512-blocks Used Available Capacity Mounted on
/dev/rz1a 190430 122672 48714 72% /
/proc 0 0 0 100% /proc
/dev/rz0g 1603526 1414038 29134 98% /usr
/dev/rz1d 3428826 1966566 1119376 64% /usr/users
amd:369 0 0 0 100% /nfs
amd:369 0 0 0 100% /vol
I don't see any overlapping partition and I think he's wrong.
But my experience says : it's always me who is wrong.
Please find the error!
thanks for answering also simple questions.
