Hi DU Admins
This morning I installed Matlab 5 on our alphas. It seems
to be working okay except for one peculiarity on a 433au with
Digital Unix 4.0c.
If I login to the console on this machine and run matlab
it spews out a stream of error messages like this:
Unaligned access pid=14538 <matlab> va=0x1406c52ac pc=0x12048157c
ra=0x120480794 inst=0xb6e00000
If I wait long enough it then starts okay and seems to run
perfectly after that.
This only happens for console logins. For logins from an X term
or telnet logins from another workstation matlab runs without
any error messages.
I'm assuming this is a Digital Unix bug and not a Matlab bug
because it doesn't occur with any of our other workstations
running Digital Unix 4.0b.
Has anyone seen this behaviour or got any suggestions? I looked
at the README from the latest jumbo patch for DU 4.0c and didn't
see anything obvious but then I didn't really know what I was
looking for.
