Hi DIGITAL UNIX gurus,

thanks to ALL, who responded to my question on the problem, that the CXX
V5.5 compiler does not handle pointers-to-member-functions correctly.

The two most helpfull hints:

Dirk Grunwald <grunwald_at_foobar.cs.colorado.edu>
pointed out, that the mentioned examples compile with the new
DEC CXX V6.0 compiler (now in field test)

Peter Chapin <pchapin_at_twilight.vtc.vsc.edu>
gave the hint to overcome the problem with CXX V5.5 & V5.6
     (many Thanks Peter)

Please mail me if you want to know more details, but I also had to learn
that this is not a forum for that question.

Sorry, if I have stolen your time,
           regards, Rainer
