gcl 2.2.2

Has anyone sucessfully compiled gcl 2.2.2 on DU 4.0B? (I downloaded it
from prep.ai.mit.edu) I am getting a bunch of warnings such as
         cast to pointer from integer of different size
and the make stops at nfunlink.c
I have tried modifying h/alpha-osf1.defs and alpha-osf1.h to no avail. Any
suggestions?
