remote console manager

Quick question regarding the Remote Console Manager
on an AlphaServer 4100.

Is there some setup required to get the RCM poweroff
command working? We've tried supplying the RCM with
12VDC, and it accepted the command, but failed to
poweroff the computer. BTW, these 4100s have two power
supplies.

Here's the output of the status command:

Firmware Rev: V1.1
Escape Sequence: ^]^]RCM
Remote Access: DISABLE
Alerts: DISABLE
Alert Pending: NO
Temp (C): 26.0
RCM Power Control: ON
External Power: ON
Server Power: ON

We are coming in thru the system console port.
